Speaker, singer inspires audience to find voice

You know the Gatlin Brothers? Well, there’s also a Gatlin sister, LaDonna, who, besides writing and singing, is an accomplished speaker who motivates her audiences to “find our own voice” and “sing our own song.” She’ll inspire Kiwanians with her message during the 92nd Annual Kiwanis International Convention.

July 3-7, 2007.

Gatlin knows a thing or two about singing her own song. Though she grew up performing with her brothers, she took a detour on the road to stardom—she married.

“At this defining moment, she realized success for her could be measured in a different way,” states Gatlin’s official biography. “So she took a giant leap of faith, chose to follow her heart, and ‘sing a different song’ apart from her brothers.”

Gatlin combines her “from the heart” message with her vocal talents to entertain even as she educates, motivates, and drives home her point.

An active member of the (US) National Speakers Association, Gatlin is a Certified Speaking Professional and was inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame. She has recorded four solo albums and is a contributing author to the best-selling book series Chicken Soup for the Soul.
