Help youth attend convention

Scholarships, fundraisers, gifts, contests, the one-third plan: These are just some of the ways Kiwanis clubs can support youth who want to attend their international conventions.

The one-third payment plan involves youth members, their club, and their sponsoring Kiwanis club each paying for one-third of the cost of attending international convention.

Even if your club doesn’t sponsor a Circle K or Key Club, there are members of those organizations in your area who would love to experience all the fun, camaraderie, service, and leadership training the conventions provide. They simply don’t have the funds to do so.

If your club can help, please do. If you don’t have the extra money to pay for a youth member, perhaps your club can stage a special fundraiser and donate those funds. Or support the Circle K or Key Club by participating in the fundraisers they organize prior to the conventions. After all, you’re family.
