Welcome aboard Kiwanis Airlines. Today’s route circumnavigates the planet in search of worthy service projects, as reported in Kiwanis clubs’ 2005-06 annual reports.

The tour begins in Portugal, where the Kiwanis Club of Porto built a clinic for children suffering from cancer.

Next, we remain in Europe and cross into Germany, where the Kiwanis Club of Coburg supports a program that teaches parents how to take care of children who have epilepsy.

In Africa, we visit a child who was transported to Belgium for heart surgery, a procedure sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Namur Terra Nova, Belgium.

From Africa, the Kiwanis tour heads eastward to Asia, where the Kiwanis Club of Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, purchases books for a disability center’s library.

Turning south, Kiwanis Airlines lands on the island of Luzon. There, the Kiwanis Club of Dasmarinas North, Salitran, the Philippines, distributes iodized salt among rural families and teaches adults about iodine deficiency disorders.

Island-hopping to Moorea in the Society Islands, we find the Kiwanis Club of Aimeho Moorea, French Polynesia, partnering with a sport team to promote healthful diets.

On a stop in North America, passengers observe children dressed warmly for winter in clothes provided by the Kiwanis Club of La Jacques-Cartier, Québec.

Returning to Europe, the journey concludes in the Czech Republic, where the Kiwanis Club of F. Barbarossa Cheb sponsors four attendants to accompany four disabled children so they can be integrated with their peers at school.

Farewell, and thank you for traveling Kiwanis Airlines.
