Foundation Board awards tsunami relief grant
Tsunami
relief was at the top of the agenda when the Kiwanis International Foundation
Board of Trustees met in Indianapolis February 12-13.
The board awarded a US$250,000 grant to Kiwanis Indonesia for a project
aimed at meeting the disaster victims’ long-term needs. The funds will
help Kiwanians build a school, orphanage, and a medical clinic in Indonesia.
“We will advance US$25,000 toward this project with additional funding
to be sent as the project moves forward,” says Dan Borba, Kiwanis International
Foundation executive director.
