River ride wins name game

A dash of alliteration and humorous imagery won KIWANIS Connected’s service project name game.

“Derrieres in the Delaware” collected 24 percent of the ballots cast by KIWANIS Connected readers this past January. The project, sponsored by the Kiwanis clubs of Easton and Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania, invites people to float down the Delaware River, and is a fundraising and social event.

Other top names are:

• Bow-Wow Pow-Wow, a festival focused on canines, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ramona, California—14 percent.
• Just Desserts, an event to express appreciation to teachers, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Marietta, Georgia—10 percent.
