Author pens gilded lessons
Brendon Burchard wants to take you on the journey of a lifetime, and he’s giving you a golden ticket for the adventure.
Brendon, a Key Leader facilitator, has written Life’s Golden Ticket, a novel that has been called a “motivational masterpiece.” Readers take a journey with the main character as he answers difficult questions, overcomes obstacles, listens to lessons from those wiser than he, and—toughest of all—takes a good, hard look at himself.
During the launch and sale of his book, Brendon is partnering with his three favorite nonprofit organizations: Kiwanis International, Junior Achievement, and the YMCA. As part of this partnership, Life’s Golden Ticket will be sold in the Kiwanis Family Store at a discount, and members will have the opportunity to buy the book in bulk for an even deeper discount as a possible club fundraiser.
“I fell in love with Kiwanis three years ago when the Key Leader program began,” Brendon says. “That's when I was introduced to Kiwanis and started meeting Kiwanians from around the country. I was so impressed with their sincere desire and passion for strengthening our nation's youth and communities. One child and one community at a time—that’s a mission that deeply resonates with me.
“I’ve never met a more caring and generous group of people than Kiwanians. They are my mentors and motivators. They have so much to give and to teach and they inspire me to focus on others and live a life of contribution. I’m a better person for being a Kiwanian.”
Brendon will be a featured speaker and guest at the 2007 Kiwanis International Convention in San Antonio, Texas, July 3-7; the Key Club International Convention in Orlando, Florida; and the Circle K International Convention in Portland, Oregon. He also will be on hand to sign copies of the book during each convention.
Life’s Golden Ticket will be released by HarperCollins on May 8. |
