Meet Lynette Ballesteros Conover

Mrs. Los Angeles 2005, Lynette Ballesteros ConoverCLUB: Kiwanis Club of Culver City, California

TITLE: Mrs. Los Angeles 2005

INSPIRATION: “I participated (in the pageant) because not only am I proud of the accomplishments I’ve made as a wife, mother, career-woman, and humanitarian, but also because I hope I exemplify the woman who is very capable, educated, nurturing and diverse,” Lynette says. “In turn, I want to share the belief that anyone can achieve personally rewarding lives and also enrich others’ lives. Ultimately, that is what inspires true beauty.”

KIWANIS-FAMILY INVOLVEMENT: During Lynette’s college career, she was a member of the University of California-Los Angeles Circle K club, for which she served a term as president.

A “FACT” ABOUT LYNETTE: She is dedicated to supporting single parents and actively promotes Fathers and Children Together (FACT), a nonprofit organization providing a positive and financially stable environment to single-parent families, particularly where fathers are the sole parent.

PAST PAGEANTS: 1993 Miss Philippines, San Joaquin County; 1995 finalist, Miss Los Angeles County pageant; 1996 finalist Miss Philippines Hollywood pageant.

CAREER: Lynette manages market research at a children’s radio network.

TALENT: Lynette is an accomplished musician and dancer, classically trained in violin and ballet. She was a member of various Hollywood rock bands in earlier years, as either a drummer or bassist, and offered music and dance instruction to children as an after-school activity. Though she has taken a break from her performing days, she still finds the time to incorporate her love of the arts in her life, particularly with her own children.
