BUG, Terrific Kids revamped

Changes to BUG (Bring Up Grades) and Terrific Kids promise to pique school interest in the Kiwanis-sponsored student-recognition programs, ease clubs’ facilitation, and increase Kiwanis’ visibility. Though they remain separate programs, BUG and Terrific kids have been repackaged together under the name “Kiwanis Kids!” and changes include:

•  Graphic redesigns to make BUG and Terrific Kids’ looks consistent with Kiwanis International’s new graphic standards and the Kiwanis International brand, thus making them more easily recognizable as Kiwanis programs.

•  Repackaging BUG, Terrific Kids, and K-Kids together. A single brochure showcases all three programs, allowing Kiwanis clubs to present them simultaneously to schools.

•  Enhanced literature designed to better assist clubs that wish to implement a BUG or Terrific Kids program.

•  All-inclusive kits containing everything clubs need to consider and establish a BUG or Terrific Kids program, including signage, a guidebook, recognition items for students, promotional examples, and other materials will be made available for order by clubs in September 2005. Beginning in September, kits can be ordered through the Member Services Department at the International Office at 317-875-8755, ext. 390.

•  New Web sites tentatively are planned for launch in June at www.terrifickids.org for Terrific Kids and www.bringupgrades.org for BUG.
