Big meeting for big clubs

Calling for convention volunteers

Delegates to consider membership resolution

Shed those first-timer trepidations

Be prepared to enjoy Montréal

Be prepared to enjoy Montréal

Kiwanis International wants to make sure you have a great time in Montréal, Québec, for the 91st Annual Convention. But occasionally, guests overlook something. To avoid such problems, the International Office offers these reminders:

  • If you are certified to represent your club as a delegate, be sure you also have registered to attend the convention. Registration is a separate process from delegate certification. No one may receive voting credentials if they have not registered at the Kiwanis member rate. Persons registered at the guest rate do not qualify to participate in the House of Delegates.
  • Conversely, if you already are registered to attend the convention and are expecting to represent your club as a delegate, be sure you are certified to participate in House of Delegates elections and voting.
  • Occasionally, some guests reserve hotel rooms but forget to register as convention attendees. Housing and registration are two separate processes. The Meeting Connection handles housing reservations. But Kiwanis International registers attendees.
  • If your club has outstanding financial obligations to Kiwanis International, you will be unable to participate in the delegate sessions. The International Office soon will notify convention attendees by letter if their clubs have financial obligations, which should be settled before your arrival in Montréal.

Registering prior to June 15 means Kiwanis will have your packet and credentials waiting for you, saving you extra processing on-site. It also saves you and your club money, because the registration fee currently is US$175 but will be $200 in Montréal.

If you do not have access to online registration or if you feel there is some mistake in our records, please call Kiwanis International at 317-875-8755, ext. 321.
