IDD network thanks Kiwanis

“Thank you, Kiwanis International!”

The world continues to recognize Kiwanis for leading the world in its ongoing victory against the most prevalent preventable cause of mental retardation: iodine deficiency disorders (IDD). Recently, the Network for Sustained Elimination of Iodine Deficiency used a section of its Web site to publicly thank Kiwanis.

“Raising funds is just a small part of the role Kiwanis International plays in the partnership to eliminate iodine deficiency,” writes Network chairman Rainer Gross. “Kiwanians around the world work to sustain progress through advocacy, technical expertise, and education about the benefits of iodized salt and motivating governments and industry to act.”

The network brings together a number of organizations, including Kiwanis, to work toward the sustained elimination of IDD.
