New resources help you to be ‘the one’
Are you “the one?”
Are you the one who will make a difference—in a child’s life, in your community, in the strength of your club and its service potential? It’s a question Kiwanis International is asking Kiwanians and their clubs. And to ensure the answer is a resounding “yes,” the International Office has launched a one-stop-shop for tools and resources at www.kiwanis.org/theone/.
Resource categories at The One:
- Growth tools
- Recruitment tools
- Opening new clubs

“This is a new site,” explains Laurie Welch, director of education at the International Office. “It’s a place members can visit to find ideas, access tools, and request materials and services—most of which are free of charge.
“Our goal is to support clubs with the resources they need to strengthen membership, grow, enhance the club experience, and, ultimately, maximize the service they can provide in their community—especially to children.”
The site is divided into categories to help members easily find the most useful materials—everything from membership recruitment tools to service-project kits to quick club ideas.
“By making these tools easily available, our hope is that, through stronger clubs, it will be possible for every Kiwanian to be ‘the one’ who can make a difference,” Laurie says.
Questions about the site or materials available at the site should be e-mailing or by calling the Help Line at 800-KIWANIS, ext. 411.
