In other Board action
The Kiwanis International Board took several actions during its April meeting in Indianapolis. In addition to reviewing proposed Bylaws amendments and establishing a brand promise, the Board:
-
Created a task force to evaluate dues, fees, financial processes, and procedures. This task force would consist of Board members, the financial advisor, district secretaries, and staff.
-
Established the position of Kiwanis International representative to the United Nations.
-
Challenged Key Club International and Circle K International to set growth goals for 2015 and to generate programming to achieve those goals.
-
Proposed that Kiwanis International Office staff prepare criteria and a timeline for identifying a future Worldwide Service Project. The staff’s findings are to be presented at the October 2007 Board meeting.
Note: At a previous meeting, the Board announced that if another Worldwide Service Project is selected, it would not begin until after the completion of the Kiwanis International Foundation’s US$37 million endowment campaign. Until criteria and a timeline are approved, Kiwanis International is not ready to receive Worldwide Service Project proposals. |
