Meet Gordon Hendrickson

CLUB: Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque, New Mexico

FAMILY: He and his wife, Nancy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have five children and eight grandchildren.

SECRET TO MARRIAGE: “I wish I had the answer to help the 50 percent of the marriages that fail,” Gordon says. “Have fun and don’t take things too seriously. Laugh, smile, and dance a lot. Travel and experience everything.

MARRIAGE AND KIWANIS: “Be a member of Kiwanis and follow the Objects of Kiwanis International. I wish I could say that if a couple did this, everyone could celebrate 50 years of marriage. Of course it helps to marry fairly young and live to an old age.”
