Meet Andrea Macy

MEMBER: Circle K Club of the University of Akron

TITLE: CKI Web ad hoc chairperson.

WHAT THAT MEANS: Andrea planned and conducted meetings for the Circle K International committee that, she says, “researched, nominated, and elected district and club ‘Web sites of the month’; created graphics for member use; created a list of all search engine results A-Z; made sure all links on the CKI Web site were current and active; and our biggest ‘tackle’ was our most recent examination and evaluation of all resources available on the Web site.”

FAVORITE PROJECT: Reparation of homes (usually through Habitat for Humanity)

FAVORITE FOOD: Her mother’s lasagna.

FAVORITE COLOR: Dark orange.

COFFEE? “I take mine with lots of skim milk and tons of sugar.”

GOAL IN LIFE: “To instill an excitement about math and science into young, impressionable high schoolers—especially young women, who are so underrepresented in the fields.”
