K University sets dates for 2006-07
Following its successful debut year, K University is scheduled to arrive in 11 locations for 2006-07 sessions.
Tentative K University cities and dates are:
- July 14-15, 2006: Taipei, Taiwan
- October 28, 2006: Orlando, Florida
- November 4, 2006: Switzerland
- November 11, 2006: New Zealand
- November 18, 2006: Kingston, Ontario, Canada
- December 9, 2006: Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri
- January 20, 2007: Ontario, California (South)
- January 21, 2007: Oakland, California (North)
- February 17, 2007: Steven’s Point, Wisconsin
- February 24, 2007: Somerset, New Jersey
- April 21, 2007: Nashville, Tennessee
Described as a one-day “traveling road show,” K University features workshops and forums focused on team building, motivation, communication, and managing change. The sessions are open to all members of Kiwanis and may be of special interest to club, division, and district leaders or those aspiring to serve as leaders.
Participants take part in discussions on such issues as Kiwanis’ future, adjusting to change, membership recruitment, and service, among other topics. Kiwanis leaders and professional staff guide the discussions and facilitate the overall sessions.
Cost to attend a K University session is $50 and includes lunch, workshop materials, a diploma, and a K University souvenir.
