CKI proposes amendments

The Circle K International Board of Trustees has been examining structure changes all year and has submitted amendments to the House of Delegates which would do the following:

Members and clubs

  • The minimum membership requirements for clubs to remain in good standing would be eliminated.

  • A new member initiation fee of US$25 would be instituted as a one-time fee assessed to new members of existing clubs.

  • Members would be assessed an annual returning member fee of US$15 for each subsequent year they choose to be a member.

  • Each club would be assessed a US$300 annual club fee.

Districts

  • Each district would have the option to choose the officer positions needed to operate effectively and with financial stability. The only required officer position would be the district governor.

  • Each district would complete an annual evaluation and adjust the needed positions and duties accordingly.

  • District dues would be eliminated. Each district would receive $7 per paid member from the returning-member fee and the new-member-initiation fee.

  • A sub-region officer training would be conducted for the district officers of the corresponding districts. The organization’s staff would coordinate the training in collaboration with the CKI representative and hosting district.

Circle K International

  • The positions of CKI President and Vice-President would be eliminated

  • The CKI Council would be eliminated.

  • A chairperson and secretary would be selected from the Board, by the Board, to preside over meetings and take minutes, thus reducing the CKI Board of Representatives from 11 to seven.

  • Two Board meetings would be conducted annually.

  • Board members would serve on all the organization’s standing committees.

A full list of amendments, which includes those submitted by districts and clubs, can be found online.
