Voluntourism takes you places
Planning a vacation this summer? Why not plan it around a voluntourism trip? Voluntourism is the opportunity for Kiwanians and other service-minded people, through Ambassadors for Children, to explore beautiful places and help the children in those areas as well.

| Jordan visitors have the opportunity to volunteer at facilities supported by Her Majesty Queen Rania's charities. |
During a voluntourism trip to Jordan (October 21-29), for example, participants will explore the exotic 5,000-year-old city of Amman, visit Biblical sites, travel to the Dead Sea, and volunteer with Queen Rania’s organizations and refugee camps among other exciting stops.
“We will continue to expand our travel opportunities and number of destinations where people can do short-term missions in 2007,” says Ambassadors for Children president Sally Brown. “Many itineraries are on our Web site.”
Trips are available for: El Salvador, Belize, Costa Rica, Serbia, Kenya, Jamaica, Jordan, Dominican Republic, Cancun, Morocco, a Native American reservation, Guatemala, Puerto Vallarta, India, Peru, and Malawi.
“Kiwanis is all about serving children,” Brown says. “Voluntourism allows members and clubs to expand their service globally.” |
