“Back-to-school season” is in full swing, which means it’s time for your club to finalize its plans for working with its sponsored K-Kids club. A helpful hint: Ask members of Circle K or Key Club for assistance.

“Elementary students look up to high school students and collegians,” notes Dave Wohler, manager of sponsored programs at the International Office. “Inviting Circle K and Key Club members to join you in activities with your K-Kids club provides the youngsters with positive role models. And they’ll have a good time too.”

Once a relationship is built between the sponsored youth clubs, Dave stresses the Circle K club or Key Club can strengthen the relationship a number of ways, including:

•  Offering tutoring sessions for K-Kids members.
•  Conducting an officer- and member-training conference.
•  Setting up a special K-Kids-Key Club or K-Kids-Circle K section at a concert, athletic event, or other social activity.
•  Beginning a “buddy” or mentor program.
