Survey gives convention high marks
The 92nd Annual Kiwanis International Convention in San Antonio was not the first such convention for more than 70 percent of the attendees. In fact, nearly 40 percent had attended seven or more Kiwanis International conventions. So when 93 percent of the respondents say they were satisfied with the event, it’s clear they have something with which to compare it.

The numbers come from an online survey completed by more than 1,400 convention-goers, who say learning more about Kiwanis International and enjoying Kiwanis fellowship are the top two reasons to attend.
Among the things they liked best:
-
Nearly 70 percent think the San Antonio location was “excellent.”
-
Other excellent-rated programs/activities include registration, The Kiwanis Show (Opening Session), and Share Our Story (Closing Session).
-
“Good” programs and activities include exhibits and exhibitors, the Kiwanis Family Store, the voting sessions, and forums and workshops. Respondents also like Kiwanisville, a series of Exhibit Hall presentations, such as a discussion about Kiwanis’ Service Leadership Programs and a look at the new kiwanis.org Web site and kiwanisone.org portal.
-
The top-rated program segments specific to San Antonio include The Tonight Show format and content, Second City entertainment, Celebration of Service segment (with Key Club and Circle K), and a Kiwanis on Trial segment.
