Foundation president reflects upon past year

With another Kiwanis year coming to a close, Kiwanis International Foundation President C. Edward Callis took a few moments recently to highlight a few shining moments:

• The KIF Annual Club Gift Campaign is running ahead of past years.

• The Kiwanis International Convention in San Antonio, Texas, highlighted the Foundation in many ways, including the Party with a Purpose fundraiser, the Robert P. Connelly Medal presentation, Because You Care Celebration, and the Major Donor Reception.

• Efficiency was increased at the International Office.

• European members now receive more education than ever about the Kiwanis International Foundation.

• There is a strong push for more Kiwanians to contribute to the Foundation.

“Every year, thousands of Kiwanians contribute to their favorite charities, such as their churches and universities,” President Callis writes in his President’s Message on kif.kiwanis.org. “Our challenge is to see that Kiwanis, through the Kiwanis International Foundation, is high on the list of organizations being considered for these contributions.”
