Some 44 percent of Kiwanians say values make leaders most effective, compared to four percent who maintain it's their networks.
A whopping 87 percent of Kiwanians believe volunteers and their contributions are becoming more important to society.
At least one-third of Kiwanians admit they wear their socks at least two days before dropping them in the clothes hamper.
OK, that last statement is not true, but the others are, based on results of a new online polling feature found on the Kiwanis home page. In just a couple clicks, you can register your opinion on a variety of Kiwanis-related topics and, because the online poll takes your pulse in real time, find out how your answer compares with all the others. Poll results update instantly every time someone responds.
If you scroll down, you’ll find the poll on the right side of the home page, directly below K-News. Questions will change at least every other week. Results will help guide the development of Kiwanis programs, policies, and services.
Future polls will gauge whether volunteer service should be required for graduation, what Kiwanians believe is most important in making change happen, what is a priority among issues facing children worldwide, and what forms of fundraising should be locked away in a time capsule. (If you have a question or topic you believe should be included in the poll, e-mail your suggestion to the International Office.)
Check the Web poll regularly to weigh in on Kiwanis-related issues and see how you stack up against your fellow Kiwanians. |
