Aktion Club continues service initiative

Aktion Club is entering its second year of a three-year commitment to its service initiative, Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW).

With help from the Kiwanis International Foundation, Aktion Club more than doubled it fundraising goal of US$10,000 this past year. As a result, more than 700 bed kits were provided for children in need.

SCAW is a nonprofit organization based in Hamilton, Ontario. Donations are used to provide bed kits to children struggling to survive in underdeveloped and developing countries.

Aktion Clubs are encouraged to raise funds to support the service initiative, and their sponsoring Kiwanis clubs are encouraged to match those donations to distribute twice as many bed kits—and support their Aktion Club members.
